Meet Celia

I was first introduced to yoga in 2003 while living in Hawaii and instantly fell in love with its physical and deeply healing benefits. While working at a yoga studio, I began attending classes daily, starting what has now been a 20+ year yoga journey.

In 2019, I discovered barre, and a year later, Pilates on the reformer. I was instantly hooked. I had no idea exercise could be so fun, yet so transformative. Pilates reshaped how I understood body mechanics and movement in a way no other practice had.

But to go back further, movement had always been part of my life. From the age of 13 until I was 38, I was a long-distance runner. I loved the outdoors, the endorphins, the runner’s high. But along with the joy came intense hip and knee pain that began in my teens. By 38, this pain became too much to ignore.

I have scoliosis, and the impact of running was taking a toll on my back. My spine felt compressed, my posture suffered, and despite a regular yoga practice, I didn’t yet understand how to truly strengthen my core.

That changed with Pilates and barre. These two practices completely healed my hip and knee pain, strengthened my core and back, improved my posture, and reduced pain related to scoliosis.

Now, I work with many private clients who experience back pain, whether from scoliosis, herniated or bulging discs, SI joint issues, sciatica, or other causes. Having navigated my own history of scoliosis and pain, I understand firsthand how limiting and frustrating it can feel. This is why I’m passionate about teaching alignment-based Pilates for back care and why I have chosen to dive deeper into Pilates for Scoliosis, which not only strengthens and improves balance in the body but also supports healing, improves posture, and helps people move with more freedom and ease.

I believe a consistent Pilates practice can transform how we move and feel by bringing strength, health, and happiness into our daily lives. When movement is enjoyable and feels good, prioritizing it becomes natural. My goal is to help you find that same love for daily movement and guide you toward success in your own goals.
