What if the story of human evolution has been missing half the picture?
Join us as we dive into Eve: How the Female Body Drove 200 Million Years of Human Evolution by Cat Bohannon—a fascinating and thought-provoking exploration of the female body through the lens of science, history, anthropology, and medicine. Bohannon challenges the traditional male-centered narrative of human evolution, revealing how women's bodies have shaped our species in ways that have long been overlooked.
Whether you're passionate about women's health, love learning, or simply enjoy books that challenge the way you see the world, Eve is sure to spark meaningful conversation. Together, we'll explore how understanding the female body can deepen our understanding of humanity itself—and why that knowledge matters today.
Come ready to learn, laugh, ask questions, and connect with other curious women over great conversation.

Intro to Pilates — September Series
New to Pilates, returning after some time away, or curious about classical Pilates? Our four-week Intro to Pilates Series is a welcoming way to experience the method, get to know our studio, and build a strong foundation for your Pilates practice.
Beginning Saturday, September 5 at 9:00 AM, you’ll meet once a week for four consecutive Saturdays with the same small group of beginners. Each 50-minute class builds on the previous week as you learn how to use the equipment, the foundational exercises, and the principles behind the Pilates method.
You’ll have time to ask questions, learn modifications that work best for your body, and become more comfortable with the exercises and equipment at a pace designed for beginners.
By the end of the four weeks, you’ll have a better understanding of Pilates, how we teach at Vida Sana, and the foundation you need to continue into our regular group classes.
Saturdays at 9:00 AM
September 5, 12, 19 & 26
50 minutes per class
What is classical Pilates?
At Vida Sana, we teach classical Pilates, staying closely connected to the original method created by Joseph Pilates. We teach the exercises with intention and progression, using equipment designed to support how the method was originally practiced. You don’t need to know anything about classical Pilates before you begin. That’s exactly what this series is designed to introduce you to.

The Summer Step Challenge
Join us for a month of movement, fresh air, and a little friendly competition.
Summer is the perfect time to get outside, soak up the sunshine, and keep your body moving. Our Step Challenge is designed to help us stay consistent, encourage one another, and build healthy habits together.
Track your daily steps, cheer each other on, and see where you land on the leaderboard. The top five participants with the most steps will win prizes, but everyone wins by creating more movement, more energy, and more accountability this summer.
The Curated Woman
The Curated Woman brought together 30 women for an afternoon of conversation, connection, and inspiration in the beautiful gardens of the Ingomar Club.
Guests enjoyed a traditional tea service complete with tea, consommé, finger sandwiches, pastries, and light bites while listening to thoughtful talks from local women on leadership, creativity, wellbeing, business, aging, and living with intention.
The afternoon was created to foster meaningful conversations, celebrate community, and remind us that caring for ourselves extends beyond movement. It was a beautiful gathering centered on curiosity, connection, and the shared wisdom of women.
